His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah highlights that this year will require continued focus, particularly in navigating an increasingly uncertain external environment. In this regard, His Majesty emphasises the importance of maintaining rigour in decision-making and strengthening alignment across the portfolio. His Majesty made the titah while chairing the 419th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and the 197th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM) for Second Quarter of the year 2026. The meeting took place on 2nd July morning at the Prime Minister's Office. In the titah, His Majesty underscores the importance of enhancing the quality of execution, including clearer prioritisation and timely response to emerging risks, together with stronger coordination across the value chain to support sustainable long-term performance.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office for Energy, Upstream and Downstream; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Second Minister of Finance, in their capacity as members of the BSP and BSM Board of Directors. The meeting also deliberated on key matters including operational performance, safety, finance, manpower development and long-term strategic planning for both BSP and BSM. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders including Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Shell plc, as well as members of the respective Management from BSP and BSM. This marks the end of the Brunei Shell Joint Venture, BSJV Companies Board Meetings for the Second Quarter of 2026.
